BLOWFLY - The First Black President - chronovisor mix v1.0

Due to the very important today's US (s)election ;) I got something special for you. This is a repost from 22nd of November, 2007 from the chronovisors blog:

Great events often are forshadowed, so are the presidential elections in the United States of A. on 4th of November 2008. Even if it lasts almost one year to this fateful elections for the American people, it can't be too early for me to made my own thoughts about all this. Finally I took my own choice by now, and I'm sure, the Americans would take it all easier, if they could choose that way, I can and I want to do. My vote goes to CLARENCE REID! :-)

But I have to warn you: If you are highly strung, don't listen to this, and for all others, have fun! For this mix I putted the first and the second part together, that's all. I really hope you ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

NEW ORDER - Here To Stay (chronovisor extended mix)

Recently a fellow member of the very likeable music forum NewOrderOnLine did wonder these days, if someone did a mix of a song from a very favourited band of mine, as you all probably may know meanwhile. ;-) Because he did give a try on that, but it didn't seem to work out good enough for him. So I did reply him like "hmmm... could get worked out, anyway, I'll give a try!...", and so it did happen at least. Luckily I was guided well by him to take the original 7" version and the extended instrumental version to get the today's presented extended version. Firstly I did send it out to a few people all over the world being asked by a personal request, and because I thankfully got just positive responses, finally, here it is again, showed to everyone. Just ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

THE STYLE COUNCIL - Boy Who Cried Wolf (Dodi's crossover mix) (1985)

It's been a long time since I started working on this one....then put it away and finally dig it out to finnish it.
Paul Weller, Mick Talbot, Dee C. Lee and Steve White...only words that I can place by those names are...fantastic, excellent, great, amazing, wonderful etc etc.
Something over 5 minutes version of ''Boy who cried wolf'' came out on their 1985 LP ''Our favourite shop'' (7'' offers standard 3:34 minute long version) and unfortunately that was all.
Official extended or instrumental never came out.
For this crossovers I used album version...results are 3:12 long instrumental and 12 seconds below 9 minutes long...

NEW ORDER - Run 2 (chronovisor extended remaster)

Today I was in the mood to do something very special. It is about a song which was and still is a favourite of mine from one of my favourite bands forever. This tune has a special story as well, but therefore go, search and take a look at the www! ;-) My intention was not just only mixing it, no, I wanted to do a classic remake, kind of a remaster, and at least I think, it was a good effort, the result speaks for itself. I do not want to leave more words on this. Just listen, folks and ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

DAVID BOWIE - Sound + Vision (808 STATE Version) (chronovisor mix)

Hi musicblog lovers!

So many people around me did mixes of a very special artist I want present you today, whose songs (well, most of them) I do like so, so much. I decided now to do a mix of one of his tunes as well. The interesting thing on this is that this special one already is mixed very well by someone other. And these mixers also were mentioned here earlier, because I like it how they mix, so they are forerunners for me that way.
To demonstrate what I mean you get two songs today, a new remix of mine I did recently and a repost (the first one here!). It isn't too complicated for you, or is it? Well then, enough of words. Here you go. ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

SCORPIONS - Is There Anybody There? (chronovisor mix)

One of the most famous melodic hard rock bands in the world the todays posting is dedicated to. Founded way back in Germany in 1965 (and still existing!), they sold over the years over 75 Million copies of their records, so they are the second successful band in Germany after MODERN TALKING (well - something good must have something bad - yuck!). This band was very well known for their rock ballads as well, and one of these - but not the best known one - will be introduced to you today. It was also released as a 7" single, and I wonder, why nobody thought about a 12" version. So I remembered the old days - when I was young ;-) - gave a listen to it, and finally, I did it my way. Just ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

MASQUERADE - Guardian Angel (The Mixdoctor Edit 2005)

Today it is right time to bring back memories. Yes - back memories of a german artist, who started his career in the mid 60s, ending after over 40 years, when he died at least two years ago. He got huge successes in every single decade with different aliases, and of course with his own name, which was DRAFI DEUTSCHER, as well.
It also is the right time to bring other mixers right here on the cover, who have the same spirit of mixing, that we have here on strictlymixes. But it is a pretty pity, that I do not know anything of the todays mixers background, probably someone of you could help me with this, I am sure, there is more to get from him.
Anyway - just lend your ears to this fantastic romantic track, which is mixed so very well. I just can take a bow to the mixer, and to all listeners. ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

KAISER SOUZAI vs. K80BLOG and KATEREADSBOOKS - To The Beat (Here You Go! Gawd It!) (chronovisor mix)

Sometimes I got inspirations from somewhere out there, or wherever from, I don't know.
Probably you know my predilection for celebreties (if not, then you know it now), even though they do not know that they are to me. ;-) But what is it all about? Well, I let them perform. It is exciting to me over and over again to make audio experiments, when I got a superbe inspiration like this one. Bloggers, do you all remember COZMONITE61? She was an audio celebrity to me from North Carolina. Now today I present you two new ones, K80BLOG from California and KATEREADSBOOKS from Ohio. I got the inspiration from a video shown in youtube, here is the link. For this wonderful performance I used the parts from 03:53 to 03:55 mins. and from 04:00 to 04:07. Of course when all my audio celebreties perform I use a trance track, and today it is a German one, obviously (die Deutschen haben es einfach drauf!). At least it is on you to have fun with this track as much as I had while producing it. ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

KARL BISCUIT - Fatal Reverie (chronovisor mix)

"If when my day will come
You could offer me
A time without remains and memory
But I do not die
From coughing up a little blood
When my fall of shame and misery
Will not defeat the fatal reveries
But I do not die
From coughing up a little blood
I cry a long time in solitary
If that morning could be 'le cafard'."

I cannot rest, and I cannot sleep. And I'm scared to fall asleep, because of getting fatal reveries. And while thinking of that miserable situation, I did remember of a song I didn't listen to for ages. It was also the time, when I did colour my short cutted hair bleach-blond, and I did colour my beard black (with mascara!). Oh yes - and I did wear black clothes only. And I also couldn't find a rest and a sleep at that time, back in those days. And I didn't talk too much, and I didn't laugh. Well, it wasn't the aera of laughing. And then, I listened to this kind of music I want to introduce you a piece of it today.
The today's artist comes from France, and he only did three releases in the mid 80s on vinyl. Thank god all his songs did find a place on CD which was released in 2003. It's a pretty pity that he still is almost unknown, or if he is known, then he is too much underrated. Well, in German we call it then: 'Geheimtipp'. This dark synthiesizer popmusic is reserved for my 'grey' days, when the sun is not able to enlighten myself. To bring a creative note I did stretch this wonderful song to a nicely listenable lenght, the original lenght is 05:13 mins. Be happy anyway and ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

PAUL HARDCASTLE - The Wizard (The Theme From 'Top Of The Pops') (chronovisor mix)

Dear music.bloggers, as you maybe have noticed, the today's artist is one of my favourite ones ever. He had his most successful time in the 80s, when he surely sold most of his records. But he consequently was going his own musically way finding out some other electronic music styles for himself, and he did well so far.
1986 he got the offer from the BBC to compose a new theme to one of the most seen music TV shows in Europe that time. The result was a fantastic new piece of music, which also was reaching high positions in the most European music charts. Well, finally I did remember all those things and of course of the song, it just was too short for me. So, what else was to do for me, than giving it a fine 12"-like lenght. I did it, and here is the result, so - ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

Back from vacation with a new crossover.Like other songs from their fantastic ''Heartbeat city'' LP, ''Drive'' unfortunately wasn't officially published in any extended or remix form. After my last post I was kindly asked to try to crossover ''Drive'' and after a lot of work and problems all the way here's the result...6:35 long version of one of the best 80's ballads...
