FRONT 242 - U-Men (chronovisor mix v1.0)

Ain't THAT fresh? (Part 1)

The today's fantastic band was mentioned here before, and it was clear that they had to come into this blog again, so here they are. Founded back in 1981 they were pioneers to the today so called 'electronic body music'. Dont get me wrong, there certainly were electronic music groups earlier on the run, like CABARET VOLTAIRE, THROBBING GRISTLE, TELEX, KRAFTWERK, you name it, but they all did some kinda 'industrial' or 'electro pop'. But this typical new electric sound was heard first back in 1982 by them, when they released their debut album. And this music sounds so fresh, that it still can be listened to today; it's timeless. So they were first, and they still are present, while other bands were gone, and they still will be for the next 20 years, hopefully (take a look at the next posting). The now here presented tune was their second single release, and I'm proud that I laid my hands softly to the song finally to get this 'chronovisor mix'.

ENJOY!

Floyd Anderson.
