ZAZU - Captain Starlight (Rayko instrumental edit)

Hallo Leute!

Floyd Anderson.

LOUIE AUSTEN - More (chronovisor mix). [repost]

Hi folks!

Today I want to present you one of the most less known but nevertheless one of the most remarkable artists of my home country in the latter years. He really is an entertainer from another generation, and he worked for several years in Las Vegas on track of his idols, "The Rat Pack", and when you give a listen, you'll recognize, why he was able to do that.

Back in Vienna in 1999, and after meeting some ambitiously young electronic music producers he turned from a "Jazz Crooner" to an "Electronic Crooner". Ever since then he is been electrotaining people with his surrealistic fusion of his incredible and unique voice and modern club sounds. (The above information is partly taken from discogs.)

The todays famous track interestingly is part of the O.S.T. "Die Viertelliterklasse", which is an Austrian movie, a tragic comedy about alcoholism.

I myself took a bow by streeetchin' it to an easy to listen and veeery relaxing lounge track.

ENJOY!

Floyd Anderson.

BRUCE HORNSBY & THE RANGE - The Way It Is (Nothing Like The Way It Was edit)

Hi folks!

Today I present you a fantastic mix by ED ZONE who released it more than two years ago. These days I again came across it and I thought, it is more than good enough to put it on my music.blog.

I'm a bit lazy recently, but I try to put up mixes here at least once a month, so please be lenient with me. Currently I'm working on an edit of a French song from the 80s which was covered by an Englishman a few years later. Be surprised.

ANDY SCOTT - Krugerrands (chronovisor radio edit)

Hi folks!

Today I present you a song which I only edited a little bit, because I was not satisfied with the original version. The artist was very well known in the 70s as a member of THE SWEET. In the 80s he only recorded a few songs, and this was surely the most successfull one.

ENJOY!

PAUL HARDCASTLE - Rainforest (chronovisor mix v1.0)

Hi folks!

This record is a wonderful example of an electronic music composition from a hero of mine back in those days. It is almost unbelievable that this classical music studying composer brought such simple melodies to its success.

I myself only laid a slight hand on the 7'' version to make it extended and give it a little bit more of stereo effect.

ENJOY!

MC 900 FT JESUS WITH DJ ZERO - I'm Going Straight To Heaven (chronovisor edit)

Hello folks!

Today I present you another song performed by Dallas, TX based MARK GRIFFIN.

In the late 80s he and his music project perfectioned sampling and scratching to its best.

The main sample which is used in this track has its origin in the tune 'Funky Me' by TIMMY THOMAS.

Because there was no 12'' version released ever I combined the vocal track with the instrumental one to a typical 'chronovisor edit'.

ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

FRONT 242 - 7Rain (chronovisor mix v1.0)

Ain't THAT fresh? (Part 2)

Folks, what comes after Part 1? Yes, you're *euphemism* right, and here it is. How can it be, that an electronic music band sounds so fantastic all over 20 years? Well, this band does, and there's not really much more to say. This is the latest single release they did, so you can compare for yourself the sounds from the posting before. Maybe you will be surprised, but I'm pretty sure, you will love it as I do. Here I also touched the song softly to get the today's result, a typically 'chronovisor mix'.

ENJOY!

FRONT 242 - U-Men (chronovisor mix v1.0)

Ain't THAT fresh? (Part 1)

The today's fantastic band was mentioned here before, and it was clear that they had to come into this blog again, so here they are. Founded back in 1981 they were pioneers to the today so called 'electronic body music'. Dont get me wrong, there certainly were electronic music groups earlier on the run, like CABARET VOLTAIRE, THROBBING GRISTLE, TELEX, KRAFTWERK, you name it, but they all did some kinda 'industrial' or 'electro pop'. But this typical new electric sound was heard first back in 1982 by them, when they released their debut album. And this music sounds so fresh, that it still can be listened to today; it's timeless. So they were first, and they still are present, while other bands were gone, and they still will be for the next 20 years, hopefully (take a look at the next posting). The now here presented tune was their second single release, and I'm proud that I laid my hands softly to the song finally to get this 'chronovisor mix'.

ENJOY!

Floyd Anderson.

DAVID BOWIE - Real Cool World (chronovisor edit v 1.1)

Hello all, out there!

The artist I want to present you today is hyped all over the world because of his new album he released recently after ten years of absence. Well done, I must say!

And of course I also need to jump on to this 'hype-train' with presenting you a tune from the early 90s which was the title track of a movie back then, and the title says it all.

I combined the mixes from SATOSHI TOMIIE to a 'real cool suite', a very danceable and listenable 'chronovisor edit'.

ENJOY!

MC 900 FT JESUS WITH DJ ZERO - Shut Up Monkey Asses (chronovisor edit)

Hello folks out there!

I hope you started well into 2013.

This year I begin with Dallas, TX born MARK GRIFFIN who produced very nice and listenable tracks from the late 80s 'til the mid 90s. It's a shame that he doesn't seem busy anymore.

For the todays track he had great help from PATRICK ROLLINS who is a DJ also born in Dallas, TX.

This tune is remarkable for its sampling and scratching, which wasn't heard in a profession like this, back in those days. One thing is for sure: There is more to come from MARK GRIFFIN soon!

Now - listen, learn and enjoy!

Floyd Anderson.
