Don't Look Down (Cygnet Mix)
When I hear that crazy sound, I don’t look down
From Central Park to shanty town, I always hear that crazy sound
A mix created combining Iggy Pop’s song “Don’t look down” with David Bowie’s version.
I included the album version, extended dance mix as well as the remix version of David Bowie.

Running Time : 6:25
My friend woozie.94 shared the multitrack file of HLTW along with some others. It's great fun mixing the multitracks because it lets you arrange the tracks according to what you have in mind. It's like heaven for us fan remixers when we get hold of the multitracks of our favorite songs. To give you an idea of what I'm saying, check out my own remix of DD's HLTW. ENJOY!!!

WILLIE COLON - Set Me On Fire (chronovisor mix)
This posting will be very short. The todays song is an almost forgotten one. It's from a New York born trumpeter with Puerto Riconian roots. 1968, as a youngster, he released his first LP. This tune is a rare sidestep to pop music. I myself remixed it. I like it a lots. That's all.
ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.
Today's my birthday - by the way. ;-)

NEW ORDER - MTO (chronovisor mix)
Today on 11/11 @ 11:11 it's time for my 'favourite backing band' (o-tone Max Headroom) :-). This band was well known for their non-album tracks which were released on the B-sides of their singles only. Most of them also were released digitally, but not this very special one.
The reason was, because the A-side of this single contents parts of a song, composed by an American singer/songwriter, and therefore no release in the U.S. did happen. Some 'in-house' tapes were produced and luckily they survived and were spread out to the www recently in a represantetive quality. But why taking the tape version for this? Because on the official release the song endings of both sides where cutted to early and the songs did end abrupt.
So I'm lucky to present you my special version of this B-side, recorded in summer 1989.
ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

PHILIP LYNOTT - Old Town (chronovisor mix)
A 60 years anniversary today.
I remember him so well.
He was so misunderstood.
I miss his songwriting.
He died in 1986 of a Heroine overdose.
Rest in peace forever Phil!
The romance is over.
This boy is crackin up.
This boy has broken down.

Sad, sad, sad.

STARS ON 45 - Stars On 45 (chronovisor mix)
Hello music.blog.lovers!
The todays posting is all about JAAP EGGERMONT, the former drummer of the dutch rockband GOLDEN EARRING. It was him, who created the first hit-medley, which become a No. 1 hit in several countries in Europe, but also in the U.S. in the beginning of the 80s. These days I listened to it again, and then I thought, I try to compile my own 'Greatest Hits', and so, here is the result. Keep swingin' and...
ENJOY! FLOYD ANDERSON.

TOUGH AS NEW BOOTS - It's Not A Blondie And Prince Collaboration (chronovisor mix)
Earlier these days I reported about music which is 'tough als old boots'. Todays posting is all about music which is 'tough as new boots'. It all about 'Heart Of Glass' and 'When Doves Cry'. Those two songs already were mixed in a break beat style, and I myself just had to bring it together to a typical 'chronovisor mix'.
ENJOY! FLOYD ANDERSON!

Ashes to Ashes (Cygnet Mix)
What an old familiar song... with renewed attention to it these days by the recent British TV series of the same name (which I actually know nothing about since I have not watched a single episode...) but back to the song: This is a mix of three Ashes to Ashes versions into one. David Bowie is joined by both Tears for Fears and obscure 80's German pop singer Anna Dobiey (Thanks to Chronovisor for the latter!), who both really did a great job with their cover versions of the song.
Enjoy!

David Bowie - Fame (Cygnet Mix)
I was planning to mix some various version of Fame together since I started mixing, but it always turned out more tricky than I thought. For this mix I used the original 1975 album version, the 1990 Gass Mix, the Queen Latifah Mix, Hip Hop Mix, Absolutely Nothing Premeditated Mix, the wonderful mashup by Audiodile called Dirty Way To Fame, as well a little bit from the 1978 Stage live version.
Enjoy!

TOUGH AS OLD BOOTS - It's Not A Madonna And New Order Collaboration (chronovisor mix)
Hey you, collaboration! Long time no see! Is this about 'tough titties'? No, it's about 'tough boots' in music. The older the boots the tougher they are.
Today it's all about 'Rescue Me' and 'True Faith', which are a result of a mixing experience of the last year. And all what has do be done was to collaborate them, so here we are, and here we go.
ENJOY! FLOYD ANDERSON.

MONACO - Sweet Lips (Farley & Heller Version) (chronovisor mix)
Today I present you one of the sideprojects from the band NEW ORDER. The ex-bassist of this band, which did split up (again ?) in 2007, formed a project in 1989 which existed 6 years and then felt apart becoming a two man project, which existed until 2000. The todays song was remixed by TERRY FARLEY and PETE HELLER, vocalish and ambientish. I myself extended it to a typical conservative 'chronovisor mix'.
ENJOY! FLOYD ANDERSON.

Madonna - Jump (Cygnet Mix Two)
I have made an extended mix of this song already, about 2 years ago.
Now, I've made another extended mix, a more interesting one, in my opinion. I just call it Cygnet Mix Two.
For this track, I used my previous mix, the extended version as well as the live Confessions and acapella versions.
Enjoy!

IN PARALLEL - Reduced to Tears [McDoC Evo-XR Re-Mix]
Among my vinyls, the EP of this song was the only one I kept ... or so I thought. While I gave away the rest to my cousins and friends, I decided to tuck this along with my dad's LP's. I've always hoped, and kept an eye out, for a CD release of this song. But up to now, I believe the great ol' vinyl single and EP releases were the only format available. Then about a few years ago, having not heard the song for a long time, I thought it'd be great if I could have someone record it on a CD. I looked for it in the attic of my parent's house but couldn't find it anywhere. Luckily, about a year ago, I found fellow bloggers who posted their rips. Having the digitized copies of the single and extended re-mix, I just had to do an Evo-XR treatment of this obscure new wave single. Hope you check it out.
Thanks to Dj docT, Sandman and Marcel.

PETER WOLF - Lights Out [McDoC Evo-XR Mix]
The chorus of this song always gets my head nodding... and if no one's looking --- groovin' to the beat. Combining the extended dance mix and dub versions for my Evo-XR treatment, the remix clocks at 11 minutes. It's really a blast dancin' to this tune. :)
Thanks to Illusion Music for the 12" E.P. share. :))
