Tik and Tok - Screen me i'm yours [1984] (spiral tribe extended edit)

Cult new romantic synthpop classic from 1983,released as a single in early 1984,sadly this track stalled at number 79 in the UK singles chart,it deserved to at least chart in the UK top 40.

Tik and Tok are probably best known for their association with Gary Numan and their appearance in the Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi.

The Passions - Skin Deep [1981] (spiral tribe extended)

Follow up single to "I'm in love with a german filmstar" amazingly "Skin Deep" never reached the UK singles chart,it stalled just outside the UK top 100,as far as i know the 12" release featured only the album version which was only slightly longer than the 7" edit.So i decided to give this a basic no frills extended edit to approx 6 minites long.......

THRASHING DOVES - Jesus On The Payroll ⋕2 (chronovisor edit)

"Go To The People...!"

Hi folks!

Today I present you a song, where the re-recorded version is way better than the original recorded one. Unfortunately this new version was only to find on a b-side of a 12''. But fortunately it was also released as a Single-CD, and they did a serious instrumental version too. So it was then pretty easy for me to edit this tune, that it became a very nice and easy listenable 12''-Version finally.

ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

OMD - Souvenir [1981] (spiral tribe extended edit)

OMD's biggest selling single in the UK,the 10" extended version featured only an extra verse of unique lyrics in the middle of the track,in duration making it only extra 30 secs approx longer than the 7" version. Here is my extended edit:)

ACT - Absolutely Immune (chronovisor mix v1.0)

ACT! - like, ...you know? ;-) (Part 2)

As I promised, here is the second song, which was also the second release from this music project (I don't wanna say band). Sadly they splitted up after one year of existence. But thank god, we still can listen to their music, and thinking about, what would have been possible, if they would have been played out their complete potential.

But well, here we are: I used to need the album version and the instrumental version, which was made from the album version and not from the single or the extended version, thank god. So, here ends the story of ACT at this time. ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

Pulp - My Lighthouse [1983]
(Spiral Tribe Extended Edit)

Debut single from Pulp, possibly best known for their mid 90s body of work with singles "Common People" and "Disco 2000" being the most notable by them. But this charming, jaunty folk laden debut offering by Pulp is by far their best track in my humble opinion. Due to lack of promotion by the small label that Pulp were on in the 1980s this single sadly faded without a trace and failed to get anywhere near the top 150 in the 1983 UK singles chart. There was no 12" release. Here is my no frills extended edit......

Wham - Club Tropicana [1983]
(Spiral Tribe Extended Edit)

Classic 80s track released as a single back in 1983,it would reach number 4 in the UK singles chart in the summer of 1983,sadly there is no offical extended version that was released in any country. Here is my no frills extended edit.

ACT - Snobbery & Decay (chronovisor mix v1.0)

ACT! - like, ...you know? ;-) (Part 1)

Today I proudly present you a shorttime collaboration between PROPAGANDA vocalist, CLAUDIA BRÜCKEN and cult favourite electro pioneer THOMAS LEER. The pair released a handful of smart singles and one album before deciding to cut and run. Satirizing the glitz and indulgence of the entertainment industry, the first release came at a time when perhaps the public had grown weary of the promotional style of ZTT and just didn't 'buy' it. Ultimately, the duo suffered the cynicism of the industry they lampooned.

And why Part 1? Well I already now decided to lay my hands on a second song from this funny collaboration. But later more. If I'm not completely wrong, this special 'chronovisor mix' is a request from somebody sometimes back in those days. :-) This version ist chronovised, dreamtimed, crossovered, cygnetized, razormaided, disconeted, mastermixed, you name it, from the 'extended version', from the 'naked civil version' and from the 'that's entertainment version'. The today's song is dedicated to all my mixing friends outside all over the world. Keep all the love from me, and please keep faith with me! ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

MONACO - What Do You Want From Me? (chronovisor mix)

Hi music.blog.lovers and a happy belated new year!

I hope it started as good as with me. It has been a while since I put a mix up, because a lots of changes are lying ahead of me.

This is the last posting I make while I'm in Australia, because in a few days I'm moving back to New Zealand, because I can't stay in Australia permanent but in New Zealand I can thank to my wife (she who has to be obeyed). :-) And I (we) are really looking forward to it.

The today's song is performed by the second band of the now ex-bass player of NEW ORDER, PETER HOOK. I only took the vocal version and the instumental version and made my own 12" version of this wonderful tune, an oldfashioned chronovisor mix.

Shalalaaalalalalaaa... Shalalaaalalalalaaa...

See you next time when I'm in New Zealand!

ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.
